Test Background
UV aging test of automobile non-metallic parts is mainly suitable for aging test of non-metallic parts and materials’ resistance to sunlight and artificial light sources. The UV aging test uses fluorescent ultraviolet lamps as the light source. By simulating ultraviolet radiation and condensation in natural sunlight, the accelerated weathering test is performed on the material to obtain the weatherability results of the material.
UV aging test of non-metallic automotive parts can use UV aging testing equipment to conduct accelerated aging tests on non-metallic automotive parts and materials. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various automotive parts and provides professional UV aging testing services for non-metallic automotive parts.
Scope of tests
is suitable for automotive plastics, rubber, fabrics, leather, adhesives, coatings and other non-metallic parts and materials.
Test method
1. Place the test sample on the sample holder so that the test surface faces the lamp. When the test sample does not completely fill the sample rack, the empty position should be filled with a blank plate to maintain the test conditions in the test chamber.
2. Install the test sample in an area exposed to uniform UV light. To avoid changes caused by different positions of sample exposure areas, it is recommended not to use the rightmost and leftmost sample holders in the device.
3. Select the test conditions and expose the sample for the specified time. For special requirements, refer to the instructions of the material and equipment manufacturer.
4. Start the exposure test at the beginning of the condensation cycle. In order to ensure the condensation effect, check whether there is condensation on the sample surface once a week during the condensation cycle.
5. In order to reduce the effects caused by changes in temperature and UV light, the sample position should be rotated periodically. Move the sample horizontally at least once a week.
