High and low temperature bending test of rubber and plastic hoses

High and low temperature bending test of rubber and plastic hoses-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

The rubber and plastic hose bending test can measure the bending performance of rubber and plastic hoses and non-reinforced hoses, including the stress required for bending, under temperature conditions of -60°C ~ +200°C.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various rubber and plastic hoses, and provides professional high and low temperature bending test services for rubber and plastic hoses and non-reinforced hoses.

Scope of tests

is suitable for rubber and plastic hoses and non-reinforced hoses with an inner diameter not larger than 12.5 mm.
Rubber and plastic hoses are mainly divided according to their uses: threading hoses, drainage hoses, ventilation hoses, shower hoses, and wiring harness tubes.
Rubber and plastic hoses are mainly divided into corrugated hoses, rubber hoses and plastic hoses according to their materials.

Test method

1. When the sample is conditioned below room temperature, the test should be completed within 8 s to 12 s. For specimens conditioned at high temperatures, the test should be completed within 5 seconds. The test equipment should be adjusted to the same temperature as the specimen.
2. Measure the outer diameter D. Using a suitable measuring tool specified in ISO 4671, measure the outer diameter at the midpoint of the specimen three times under stress-free conditions.
3. Install the specimen into the holder with a larger bending radius, with the end of the specimen pressing against the end stop pin. If the hose has a natural bend, it should be allowed to bend naturally.
4. Start the testing machine. Apply a force between points A and B and measure the force required to reach twice the specified bending radius.
5. Divide the stress value obtained by direct reading or from the recording chart by 2 to obtain the bending force of a single specimen.
6. Measure the minimum outer diameter T of the bent part of the hose. Take 6 readings and average.
