Rubber surface crack aging test

Rubber surface crack aging test-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

During the processing, storage and use of rubber and its products, the physical and chemical properties and mechanical properties of rubber gradually deteriorate due to the combined effects of internal and external factors, until the use value is lost. This change is called rubber aging.
The surface appears to be cracked, sticky, hardened, softened, powdered, discolored, moldy, etc. The rubber surface crack aging test can measure the aging performance of rubber placed in an atmospheric environment or in an ozone-containing medium under static tension or bending.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various rubbers and provides professional surface crack aging test services for rubber.

Scope of tests

1. According to the appearance of rubber: Rubber can be divided into four categories: solid rubber (also called dry rubber), emulsion rubber (referred to as latex), liquid rubber and powder rubber.
2. According to the performance and use of rubber: In addition to natural rubber, synthetic rubber can be divided into general synthetic rubber, semi-universal synthetic rubber, special synthetic rubber and special synthetic rubber.
3. According to the physical form of rubber: rubber can be divided into hard rubber and soft rubber, raw rubber and mixed rubber, etc.
4. According to performance and use: general rubber and special rubber.

Test method

1. According to the actual use status of rubber or rubber products, you can choose the following methods for testing:
a) Rectangular specimen tensile method;
b) Rectangular specimen bending test method;
c) Conical specimen tensile method;
d) Dumbbell-shaped specimen stretching method.
2. The rubber sample is fixed in the sample holder in a static stretching or bending state and then exposed to the atmospheric environment or ozone-containing medium. After a certain period of continuous exposure, the evaluation is carried out by observing the appearance changes and surface cracks of the sample.

Test standard:
