Test Background
Latex product steam aging test can determine the performance test of latex products during storage, transportation and use in high temperature, high temperature, high humidity and pressure climate environments.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various rubbers and provides professional steam aging test services for latex products.
Scope of tests
is suitable for latex products made of natural latex, such as natural latex mattresses, pillows, pillows, lumbar pillows, cushions, car headrests, foam shoes, sponges, balloons, gloves, impregnated products, lamination, flocking, papermaking, molds, etc.
Test method
1. The specimens for the tensile test before and after cooking and aging must be cut from the same sample.
2. Number the sample, measure and record the thickness of the sample.
3. Use double layers of clean gauze to isolate the sample in layers. The samples in each layer should be laid flat and the samples should not overlap each other.
4. Place the sample into the high-pressure steam sterilizer (tank), adjust the steam pressure control device to quickly rise to the selected test pressure within 10 minutes, and start timing.
5. Under the selected test pressure and after reaching the specified cooking time, close the steam pressure control device and open the steam exhaust valve. After the steam is exhausted, take out the sample and place it at normal temperature for the specified time.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the second cooking test, the third cooking test,... until the selected number of tests.
7. The sample should be conditioned at the standard temperature for at least 16 hours according to the provisions of GB/T 2941, but not more than 96 hours.
8. Determine the tensile properties of the sample after cooking and aging.
Test standard:
GB/T 14831-2003 Test method for steam aging of latex products
GB/T 528 Determination of tensile stress and strain properties of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber
GB/T 2941 Standard temperature, humidity and time for environmental conditioning and testing of rubber specimens
GB/T 5723 Vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber - Determination of dimensions of test specimens and products
