Low temperature test of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber

Low temperature test of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

As the temperature decreases, the hardness of the rubber gradually increases, eventually becoming hard and brittle, and the recovery from deformation caused by external forces becomes slower. The point at which rubber becomes hard and brittle is the glass transition point. Any physical test can be performed at low temperatures. For some specific purposes, it is necessary to pay attention to the change of some properties with decreasing temperature according to the actual application. These properties include: tensile strength, dynamic modulus, resilience and resistivity, etc. Low-temperature testing of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber is a test that measures properties at temperatures below standard laboratory temperatures.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various vulcanized rubbers or thermoplastic rubbers, and provides professional low-temperature testing services for vulcanized rubbers or thermoplastic rubbers.

Scope of tests

Vulcanized rubber: flat vulcanizing machine vulcanizing type, vulcanizing tank vulcanizing type, continuous vulcanizing type, special vulcanizing type, etc.
Thermoplastic rubber: polystyrene, polyurethane, polyolefin, polyester, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-acrylate copolymer, polyethylene-butyl rubber joint copolymer, etc.

Test method

1. Determination of low-temperature brittleness: includes three procedures: determination of brittleness temperature; determination of brittleness temperature at 50% failure; impact test at specified temperature.
2. Determination of low-temperature stiffness: Starting from low temperature, measure the rotational stiffness as a function of temperature. The stiffness measurement method is to connect the sample to a calibrated spring steel wire, and when the top of the steel wire is twisted 180°, the angle of twist of the sample is measured.

Test standard:
