Carbon arc lamp aging test of vulcanized rubber

Carbon arc lamp aging test of vulcanized rubber-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

The vulcanized rubber carbon arc lamp aging test is an artificial climate aging test method that uses a carbon arc lamp as the light source to simulate and intensify the main factors such as light, heat, air, temperature, humidity and rainfall in the natural climate. It can evaluate the weather resistance of vulcanized rubber under the test conditions of the carbon arc lamp as the light source.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various vulcanized rubbers and provides professional carbon arc lamp aging test services for vulcanized rubber.

Scope of tests

In terms of its vulcanization method, vulcanized rubber can be roughly divided into:
1) Flat vulcanizing machine vulcanization: flat tapes such as conveyor belts and transmission belts;
2) Vulcanizing tank vulcanization: rubber hoses, rubber rollers, rubber shoes, air bags, rubber strips, tapes, roller coatings, pipe linings, cables, etc.;
3) Continuous vulcanization: sealing strips, pure rubber hoses, wires and cables, etc.

Test method

The vulcanized rubber is placed in an environment using a carbon arc lamp as the light source to simulate and enhance the aging factors in the natural climate. The changes in performance of the sample before and after aging are measured to evaluate the weather resistance of the vulcanized rubber.

Test standard:

GB/T 15255-2015 Vulcanized rubber Artificial climate aging test method Carbon arc lamp
GB/T 528 Determination of tensile stress and strain properties of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber
GB/T 2941 Rubber physical test methods General procedures for specimen preparation and adjustment
GB/T 3511 Vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber weather resistance
