Test Background
Vulcanized rubber refers to vulcanized rubber, which has the characteristics of being non-sticky and not easy to break. Most rubber products are made of this kind of rubber. Also called cooked rubber, commonly known as rubber or rubber. The general name for rubber after vulcanization processing. After vulcanization, a spatial three-dimensional structure is formed in the raw rubber, which has high elasticity, heat resistance, tensile strength and insolubility in organic solvents.
The vast majority of rubber products are vulcanized rubber. The vulcanized rubber salt spray aging test can measure the changes in the appearance and physical properties of the vulcanized rubber after aging in a salt spray environment to evaluate the salt spray aging resistance of the vulcanized rubber.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various vulcanized rubbers and provides professional salt spray aging test services for vulcanized rubber.
Scope of tests
In terms of its vulcanization method, vulcanized rubber can be roughly divided into:
1) Flat vulcanizing machine vulcanization: flat tapes such as conveyor belts and transmission belts;
2) Vulcanizing tank vulcanization: rubber hoses, rubber rollers, rubber shoes, air bags, rubber strips, tapes, roller coatings, pipe linings, cables, etc.;
3) Continuous vulcanization: sealing strips, pure rubber hoses, wires and cables, etc.
Test method
The vulcanized rubber sample is exposed to the salt spray environment. Under the action of hot air and salt solution, after a specified period of time, the performance changes of the sample before and after aging are detected to evaluate the salt spray aging resistance of the rubber. Salt spray aging performance testing items and testing methods are selected by the party submitting the test based on product characteristics.
Generally, testing items such as mechanical properties, interface adhesion properties, compression permanent deformation, conductive properties, appearance, volume, and quality can be selected.
