Test Background

The combined effects of temperature, humidity, vibration and altitude can cause the following typical failures in equipment: breakage of glassware and optical equipment, stuck or loose moving parts, component separation, degradation of electronic component performance due to parameter drift, fogging or mechanical failure of optoelectronic components due to rapid condensation of water or frost, rupture of solid particles or grain columns in explosives, failures caused by differences in expansion or contraction rates of different materials, deformation or cracking of components, cracking of surface coatings, leakage of sealing components, failures caused by insufficient heat dissipation, etc.
Military equipment comprehensive environmental testing can measure the comprehensive environmental adaptability of various military equipment and determine the comprehensive effects of temperature, humidity, vibration and altitude on the safety, integrity and performance of airborne electronic and electromechanical equipment during ground and flight operations.

Scope of tests

Test method

This can be accomplished by combining all appropriate environmental stresses into a single test, or by a series of separate integrated tests. When separate combined tests are used, the most common combined stress test is:
1) Temperature/vibration test
2) Temperature/humidity/altitude test
3) Temperature/humidity test with auxiliary cooling
