Test Background
High temperatures can temporarily or permanently reduce the performance of your equipment by changing the physical properties or dimensions of the materials used in your equipment. Typical problems that may occur under high temperature conditions related to the equipment under test include: deformation, seizure and failure of packaging materials, gaskets, seals, bearings and shafts, causing mechanical failure or integrity damage; different temperature gradients and inconsistent expansion of different materials cause changes in the stability of electronic circuits; changes in the pull-in/release range of relays and magnetic or thermal devices, etc.
High-temperature testing of military equipment can measure the adaptability of various military equipment to high-temperature environments and obtain relevant data to evaluate the impact of high-temperature conditions on the safety, integrity and performance of the equipment.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of climatic environment testing and mechanical environment testing of various military equipment, and provides professional high-temperature testing services for military equipment.
Scope of tests
Military equipment that may need to be used in high temperature environments: field engineering machinery, three defense (anti-nuclear, anti-chemical, anti-biological weapons) equipment, communication command equipment, reconnaissance and detection equipment and other military equipment used in high-temperature environments.
Test method
1. Program I—Storage
Procedure I is used to examine the impact of high temperature on the safety, integrity and performance of equipment during storage. This procedure is to first expose the test piece to high temperatures (and low humidity when applicable) that the equipment may encounter in storage, and then test the performance under standard atmospheric conditions.
2. Program II—Working
Procedure II is used to examine the impact of high temperature on the performance of the equipment when it is working. There are two implementation methods;
a) Expose the test piece to the temperature cycle of the test chamber and make the test piece work continuously or during the maximum temperature response (the test piece reaches the highest temperature);
b) Expose the test piece to a constant temperature and allow the test piece to operate when its temperature reaches stability.
