There are two types of clothing leather: front leather and suede leather.
1. Front leather: Leather that retains and uses the animal skin grain surface layer.
2. Suede leather: The general name for leather whose surface is ground into a fine velvet shape.

1. Install the sample on the ring holder, keeping the holder at a 45° angle to the horizontal, and the center of the sample at a certain distance from the bottom of the nozzle.
2. Use a certain amount of distilled or deionized water to spray test the sample. After spraying, determine the water level of the leather sample by comparing the appearance of the sample with the rating description (or standard picture), and calculate the water absorption of the sample by weighing the mass of the sample before and after water spraying.

Level 1: The entire wetted surface is completely wet
Level 2: Half of the wetted surface is wetted, usually showing small, scattered wetted areas that merge together
Level 3: The wetted surface is only a small area of wetted
Level 4: The surface exposed to rain is not wetted, but there are a small amount of water droplets
Level 5: The surface exposed to shower is not wetted and there are no water droplets.
