Test Background
Patent leather is a very unique processing technology in leather. Usually patent leather has a very bright surface coating. It has the advantages of bright, natural, waterproof, moisture-proof and other advantages. It is widely used in the processing of leather products such as leather shoes and bags. When the patent leather comes into contact with an object that is too hot, it may cause damage to the coating, causing problems such as blistering and loss of gloss, making the product lose its use value. Therefore, the heat resistance of patent leather is an important indicator for judging product quality.
The heat resistance performance test of patent leather adopts the chipping tester method (Method A) and the "Zwick" instrument method (Method B), which can measure the heat resistance of various types of patent leather. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the physical and mechanical testing capabilities for various leathers, and provides professional heat resistance testing services for patent leather.
Scope of tests
1. PU patent leather: synthetic leather, fake leather.
2. Genuine patent leather: Made of first-layer cowhide, it is the current high-end leather.
3. Wrinkled patent leather: In the tanning process, the leather body is first softened and then sprayed with paint. The wrinkles are like broken tempered glass patterns, and the leather body is soft without losing the characteristics of cowhide.
Test method
After stretching the porous leather sample to a certain extent, the surface is heated to record the damage to the patent leather coating.
