Thermal Reliability Test of Building Phase Change Materials

Thermal Reliability Test of Building Phase Change Materials-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

Thermal reliability refers to the ability of phase change materials to store and release heat under specified conditions and within a specified period of time. The thermal reliability test of building phase change materials can use accelerated hot and cold cycle tests and differential scanning calorimetry to determine the thermal reliability of phase change materials.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various building materials, products and components, and provides professional thermal reliability testing services for building phase change materials.

Scope of tests

Phase change mortar, phase change cement, phase change putty, phase change concrete, phase change gypsum board, phase change asphalt, phase change paint and a series of phase change building materials and products.

Test method

The accelerated hot and cold cycle test is used to conduct a specified number of rapid melting and solidification cycles on phase change materials for construction, and the phase change temperature change amount and phase change latent heat change rate are tested.
The phase change temperature and phase change latent heat were measured by DSC, and the thermal reliability of the phase change materials for construction was determined by comparing the DSC test results of the phase change materials before and after the accelerated thermal cycle test.

Test standard:

JC/T 2111-2012 Test method for phase change temperature regulation performance of building materials
JG/T 534-2018 Thermal reliability test method of phase change materials for construction
ASTM C1784-2014 Standard test method for measuring thermal storage properties of phase change materials and products using the heat flow meter method
