Hygrothermal performance test of building materials

Hygrothermal performance test of building materials-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

The hot and humid environment has a negative impact on the performance and service life of building materials through the synergistic effect of humidity and temperature: for example, for composite materials in building materials, the properties of the component materials change with changes in temperature and humidity, and the hot and humid environment will cause changes in the internal stress state of the material.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various building materials, products and components, and provides professional hygrothermal performance testing services for building materials and products.

Scope of tests

1. Structural building materials: mainly refers to the main part used to build a house. Common materials include cement materials, wooden materials, engineering plastics, concrete materials, various stones, bricks, tiles, aluminum alloys, stainless steel, glass, steel bars, etc.
2. Decorative building materials: mainly refers to decorative surface materials used on the surface of buildings, which can be roughly divided into indoor and outdoor situations, including latex paint, paint, putty powder and other coatings, decorative glass, wall tiles, floor tiles, wallpaper, wall coverings, skirting lines, etc.
3. Special building materials: mainly refer to those used for special purposes in buildings, including waterproof materials (waterproof coatings or coils, etc.), moisture-proof materials, sound insulation materials (sound-absorbing cotton, etc.), thermal insulation materials (nano thermal insulation boards, extruded boards, aluminum silicate needle felt), fire retardant coatings, sealing materials (glass glue, structural glue), etc.

Test method

Determination of hygroscopic performance: dryer method, climate chamber method.
Determination of moisture content: Dry the sample at a certain temperature, and calculate the moisture content by measuring the mass change of the sample before and after drying.
Determination of moisture permeability: The water vapor permeability of building materials is determined by the box method.
Determination of moisture absorption/release performance: single cycle moisture absorption/release amount, periodic moisture absorption/release cycle test
