Test Background
The anti-sand and dust performance of building doors and windows refers to the ability of doors and windows to prevent sand and dust from entering the room when an extremely strong sandstorm occurs with wind speed exceeding 24 m/s (wind force above level 10). Building doors and windows with good air-tightness performance under normal use do not necessarily have good sand and dust prevention performance. The sand and dust proof test for building doors and windows can prevent sand and dust under the action of abnormal wind pressure.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building doors and windows, and provides professional reliability testing services such as sand and dust prevention testing for building door and window products.
Test method
1. Sand-proof performance testing
When the pressure difference is 400 Pa, the mass of sand entering the room through the unit opening gap length of the outer doors and windows within 15 minutes (M) is used as the sand prevention performance classification index. The sand used for the test is dry, non-abrasive fine sand with a particle size of 25 um ~ 300 μm, and should be dried at 80 ℃ for 2 hours before use.
2. Dust-proof performance testing
When the pressure difference is 400 Pa, the mass (C) of respirable particulate matter that enters the room through the unit area of external doors and windows within 15 minutes is used as the dustproof performance classification index. The dust used for the test is dry talc powder with a particle size not larger than 10 μm. It should be dried at 80°C for 2 hours before use and the test should be completed within 1 hour.

Selection of dustproof performance
1. In areas where strong sandstorms occur frequently, products with sand-proof performance level 4 and dust-proof performance level 6 or above should be selected;
2. In areas with frequent sandstorms, it is advisable to choose products with sand-proof performance of level 3 or above and dust-proof performance of level 5 or above;
3. In areas with occasional dust and blowing sand weather, it is advisable to choose products with sand-proof performance of level 2 or above and dust-proof performance of level 3 or above;
4. In areas where dust storms rarely occur, no specific requirements are required.
