Infrared detector long mold test-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

The mold growth test is to test the product's ability to resist mold and whether the equipment is harmfully affected by mold under conditions conducive to mold growth (i.e., in a high-humidity, warm environment and in the presence of inorganic salts), and to evaluate the different degrees of mold growth and the surface changes and performance effects caused by mold on the product.
The infrared detector mold growth test can identify the degree of mold growth or performance impact of the infrared detector under climatic conditions prone to mold growth.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various infrared detectors, and provides professional mold growth testing and other environmental testing services for infrared detector products.

Test method

1. Relevant specifications should stipulate whether only visual inspection of mold growth is performed, or whether performance testing is performed after exposure testing. If only appearance inspection is required, only one set of samples is required; if performance testing is required after exposure, two sets of samples are required.
2. A group of test samples should be sprayed with mixed spore water suspension. The hole diameter of the nozzle used for spraying should not be larger than 0.5 mm, and the sprayed suspension should be in the form of fine mist and fall on all exposed surfaces of the test sample.
3. If performance testing is required and a second set of samples is required, these samples should be sprayed similarly, but the spray liquid only contains wetting agent and no spores.
4. Take three control paper strips, spray them with the same spore suspension used for the test sample, put them into the same container as the test sample, and then place them in the test box for exposure.
5. If there is a second group of samples, take another three control paper strips, spray them in the same way as the samples in this group, put them together with the test samples into another container, and then put them in the test box for exposure.
6. The test sample and control paper strip should be placed in the test box within 15 minutes after spraying until the exposure time is completed. Undue disturbance should be avoided during this period, as long as the container lid (or) door is opened once a week (for a few minutes).
7. If no mold growth can be seen on any of the control strips when you open the box for the first time seven days after spraying, the test will be considered invalid and the test will need to be repeated.
8. Assuming that there is mold growth on the control paper, it indicates that the conditions are appropriate and the mold is alive. If only appearance inspection is performed, the test sample should be continuously exposed for at least one cycle, that is, 28 d. If performance testing is required after exposure, it should be exposed for three cycles, that is, 84 d, or other cycles specified in the relevant specifications.
