Test Background
The main effects of a constant hot and humid environment on marine instruments include: moisture absorption or adsorption, expansion, reduction in mechanical strength, corrosion, electrical corrosion and other chemical reactions, increased conductivity of insulators, etc. These effects can cause physical damage, insulation damage, mechanical failure and other malfunctions of marine instruments.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various marine instruments, and provides professional constant humidity and heat tests and other environmental testing services for marine instrument products.
Scope of tests
Marine instruments are classified according to different environmental conditions of use and are divided into four categories:
1. Instruments for shore stations: such as marine instruments installed and used on coastal stations, offshore fixed platforms and islands.
2. Instruments for ships and buoys: such as marine instruments used on various types of ships, buoys and other mobile offshore platforms.
3. Underwater instruments: such as marine instruments or sensors used in seawater.
4. Satellite and aeronautical instruments: The environmental testing of such instruments should adopt other environmental testing standards based on the characteristics of the environmental conditions in which they are used.
Test method
1. Unless otherwise specified, the constant humidity and heat test of marine instruments shall be carried out under the following conditions:
Temperature: (40±2)℃, relative humidity: (93±3)%.
2. One test period is 1 day.
Unless otherwise specified, the test period is selected from the following values: 2 d, 4 d, 6 d, and 10 d.
Test standard:
