Test Background
The purpose of comprehensive tests on optical and photonics instrument pollution and solar radiation is to study the resistance of instruments, especially the surfaces, coatings or synthetic materials of instruments, to corrosion by reagents and solar radiation in a short period of time.

Scope of tests
All optical and photonic instruments including ancillary components from other fields (such as mechanical, chemical and electronic equipment)
Test method
The severity level under comprehensive test conditions is much higher than the severity level under any single test condition. The test should be conducted under the specified ambient atmospheric conditions and in accordance with the relevant requirements. The specimen surface should be oriented to avoid loss of reagents during the test.
If a liquid reagent is used in the test, the amount of reagent used should form a circular spot with a diameter of approximately 10 mm on the surface of the sample.
During the test, reagents should not contaminate each other. If the reagent is a coating liquid, it should be tested on multiple specimens if necessary.
If it is a viscous or pasty reagent, a thin, evenly distributed round spot (thickness approximately 0.01 mm) should be formed on the surface of the specimen as described above. During testing, it should be noted that reagents may diffuse due to heat. Reagents that evaporate during the test should not be replaced.
If an instrument or component may be contaminated as a whole during use, rather than just individual components, the relevant specification should require that the entire instrument or component be used as a specimen for conditional testing.
After pretreating the sample as specified, use an atomizing nozzle to spray the specified reagent fully and evenly on the surface of the sample. Reagents that evaporate during the test should not be replaced.
