Optical instrument dust test

The purpose of the optical and photonics instrument sand and dust test is to study the degree of change in the optical, climatic, mechanical, chemical and electrical (including electrostatic) properties of the sample affected by sand and dust.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various optical and photonics instruments, and provides professional environmental testing services such as sand and dust testing for optical and photonics instrument products.

All optical and photonic instruments including ancillary components from other fields (such as mechanical, chemical and electronic equipment)

1. During the exposure period of the specimen, various measures should be taken to prevent the impact of sand and dust on its optical surface, such as dust covers. The covering method should be specified in the relevant standards. If the optical surface of the specimen does not need to be covered when exposed, this should be stated in the relevant standard.
2. The test box (room) should have a certain space to ensure that the area occupied by the sample is not greater than 50% of the cross-sectional area of the test box (room) (the area perpendicular to the direction of air flow), and the volume does not exceed 50% of the effective volume of the test box (room).
3. Mineral sand dust should be composed of sharp-edged particles, of which the SiO2 mass fraction should not be less than 97%.
