Test Background
Intense solar radiation causes polymer materials to easily undergo aging phenomena such as powdering, cracking, deformation, discoloration, loss of gloss, and peeling, and affects the mechanical properties and service life of the materials. The special environmental test of polymer materials is an artificial simulated environmental test of polymer materials such as engineering plastics, rubber, and coatings under the special environmental conditions of plateau, dry heat, and dry hot desert.
The Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various polymer materials, and provides professional xenon lamp tests, fluorescent ultraviolet lamp tests, low temperature tests, high temperature tests, temperature change tests, salt spray tests, sand and dust tests, coating anti-flaking tests and other services under special environmental conditions for polymer materials.
Test Reason
1. High temperatures in dry and hot desert areas will accelerate material aging and cause material deformation and cracking. High surface temperatures cause cables laid along the sand to bulge or even crack. The large temperature difference between day and night in hot and dry desert areas can easily cause deformation and cracking of polymer materials, shorten the service life of sealing materials, and easily cause cracks, powdering, discoloration and other phenomena in coatings.
2. Winter temperatures in plateau and hot dry desert areas are very low, making materials hard and brittle and affecting their mechanical properties. For outdoor sealed equipment, large temperature differences can cause condensation to accumulate, which can reduce the insulation performance of the material and even cause breakdown.
3. The climate in hot and dry desert areas is very dry and lacks rainfall, and materials are prone to cracking and deformation.
4. Hot and dry deserts and plateau areas have strong winds and sand, which can easily cause coating peeling and surface wear.
5. Plateau areas have frost, ice, condensation, and frozen soil, and some areas have salt lake conditions. The materials used there should be considered.
