Test Background
The waterproof test of electronic and electrical products is applicable to products that may be affected by dripping, flushing, immersion or high-pressure water during transportation, storage or use. It is to assess whether the shell, cover and seal of the product can ensure good working performance of the equipment and components after the water test or during the test.

Test method
The waterproof test consists of three groups:
1. Ra: drip test. This is done using artificial rainfall and simulating the formation of precipitation from condensation or leakage. There are mainly artificial rain methods and drip box methods, which are suitable for products that may be subject to vertical precipitation during transportation, storage or use. These precipitations come from natural rainfall, leakage or condensation.
2. Rb: flush test. The water flow impacts the specimen at a certain pressure and can be assumed to hit the specimen from any angle. There are mainly swing tube method, spray method, water spray method and fan spray method, which are suitable for products that may be subject to flushing during transportation, storage or use. The water comes from heavy rain, wind and heavy rain, sprinkler systems, pressure washing, wheel splash, flushing or violent waves.
3. Rc: water immersion test. Immerse the sample into water at a specified depth or corresponding pressure. There are mainly water tank method and pressurized water tank method, which are suitable for products that are waterproof and may be subject to water immersion during transportation or use.
