Test Background
Nonwoven water resistance test can use the hydrostatic method to determine the ability of nonwovens to prevent being wetted and soaked by water, and is suitable for nonwovens expected to be used to resist liquid penetration.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various nonwoven fabrics and provides professional water impermeability testing services for nonwoven fabrics.
Scope of tests
1. Nonwovens are divided into disposable application nonwovens and durable nonwovens according to application requirements.
2. Nonwovens are divided according to the production process: spunlaced nonwovens, heat-sealed nonwovens, pulp airlaid nonwovens, wet nonwovens, spunbond nonwovens, meltblown nonwovens, needle punched nonwovens, stitchbonded nonwovens, and hydrophilic nonwovens.
3. Nonwovens are divided according to their application scope: geosynthetic materials, nonwoven filter materials, medical and health nonwovens, agricultural nonwovens, clothing nonwovens, home decoration, daily necessities and packaging materials, etc.
Test method
1. Hydrostatic pressure method: Install the sample on the test head, and the test surface of the sample is subjected to water pressure rising at a constant rate until three water seepage points appear on the other side of the sample. Record the pressure value when the third water seepage point occurs as the test result.
2. Spray impact method This method uses spray impact to measure and predict the water permeability resistance of nonwoven fabrics. Cover the sample on a piece of absorbent paper of known mass, then spray a specified volume of water onto the sample, and weigh the mass of the absorbent paper again.
The difference between the two masses is the amount of water seepage. The larger the difference, the greater the amount of water seepage and the worse the water seepage resistance of the sample.
