Nonwoven Fracture Testing

Nonwoven Fracture Testing-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

Breaking strength refers to the maximum force measured when a sample is stretched to break in a tensile test. This indicator is one of the important indicators for evaluating the intrinsic quality of non-woven fabrics. It is also often used to evaluate the changes in the intrinsic quality of non-woven fabrics after sun exposure, washing, wear and various finishing treatments. Elongation at break refers to the percentage of the elongation measured when the sample is stretched to break in the tensile test to the length of the sample before stretching. It is used to evaluate the elongation ability of nonwoven fabrics.
The nonwoven fabric breaking test can measure the breaking strength and breaking elongation of nonwoven fabrics through the grab sample method. It is suitable for most types of nonwoven fabrics and is not recommended for nonwoven fabrics with large elongation rates.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has reliability testing capabilities for various nonwovens and provides professional fracture testing services for nonwovens.

Scope of tests

1. Nonwovens are divided into disposable application nonwovens and durable nonwovens according to application requirements.
2. Nonwovens are divided according to the production process: spunlaced nonwovens, heat-sealed nonwovens, pulp airlaid nonwovens, wet nonwovens, spunbond nonwovens, meltblown nonwovens, needle punched nonwovens, stitchbonded nonwovens, and hydrophilic nonwovens.
3. Nonwovens are divided according to their application scope: geosynthetic materials, nonwoven filter materials, medical and health nonwovens, agricultural nonwovens, clothing nonwovens, home decoration, daily necessities and packaging materials, etc.

Test method

A sample with a width of 100 mm is centrally clamped in a clamp with a width of 25 mm. The tensile tester stretches the sample at a specified stretching speed until it breaks, and the breaking strength and elongation at break of the sample are recorded.

Test standard:
