Test Background
Wood-based materials refer to boards or molded products made from wood as the main raw material, processed into various material units, with (or without the application of) adhesives and other additives, mainly including plywood, particleboard, fiberboard, etc. The wood moisture absorption dimensional stability test can determine the equilibrium moisture content and dimensional change rates in the length, width and thickness directions of wood and wood-based materials when they absorb moisture.

Scope of tests
Wood can be divided into:
according to how it is used
1) Wood restructured materials such as plywood, particleboard, fiberboard, laminated veneer lumber, laminated lumber, restructured wood, oriented strand board, restructured decorative veneer, etc.
2) Wood-based composite materials such as gypsum particleboard, cement particleboard, wood/plastic composite materials, wood/metal composite materials, wood conductive materials and wood ceramics.
Test method
Dry the sample until the moisture content is within 10%, then move it to a constant temperature and humidity environment with a temperature of 20°C and a relative humidity of 65%, and place it until the mass is constant.
Determine the mass of the sample when it is dry and when it reaches constant weight at a temperature of 20°C and a relative humidity of 65%, as well as the length and width of the reference line and the thickness of the reference point.
