Test Background
Tire air tightness refers to the air permeability performance of tire inner tubes and tubeless tire inner liner. If the air tightness of the tire can be maintained, the performance of the tire can be guaranteed; on the other hand, if the air tightness is not good, the tire is prone to early damage when the tire is often driven in a deflated state. The automobile tire air tightness test can determine the air tightness of tubeless car tires and truck tires.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various tires and provides professional air tightness testing services for automobile tires.
Scope of tests
Tubeless passenger car tires and truck tires.
Test method
1. Place the two test tires prepared according to regulations in a temperature-controlled environment, adjust the air pressure to the test inflation pressure, start the test, and ensure free air circulation. The tires should not be moved during the test to avoid pressure fluctuations.
2. Continue to check and record the inflation pressure, ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure every day. If the corrected slope value changes abnormally, recheck for air leakage.
3. After 14 days of testing, if the difference between the inflation pressures of the two test tires does not exceed 6 kPa, the test shall continue. Otherwise, the test shall be rechecked and the test shall be restarted according to 2.
4. Continue the test according to the standards until the end of the test cycle, and continue to monitor and evaluate the data results during the test process.
