Test Background
Too high or too low tire pressure will affect its service life and is also detrimental to safe driving. If the internal pressure of the tire is too low or the tire is overloaded, the stress and deformation of the carcass will be greatly increased, which will intensify the mechanical friction between the tire and the ground area and the internal friction of the carcass, causing tire wear and damage. If the internal pressure of the tire is too high, it will increase the tensile stress on the tire ply, increase the shear stress between the tire layers, increase the rigidity of the tire body, and reduce the ground area, resulting in deterioration of tire performance and wear and damage.

Scope of tests
agricultural tires are mainly used on tractors, combined harvesters and agricultural machinery and implement vehicles.
They are divided into agricultural tractor drive tires, agricultural tractor guide tires, agricultural machinery tires, forestry machinery tires, paddy tractor drive tires, cultivating tractor drive tires, and gardening tractor tires.
Test method
1. During the test, the rotational speed of the drum should be controlled to produce an average relative sliding speed of 7.3cm/s between the tire being tested and the surface of the drum.
2. The test should be carried out continuously, but a short shutdown of no more than 5 minutes is allowed for observation, to eliminate the rubber material being ground and to adjust the load, etc. If abnormal phenomena are found, the machine should be shut down or the test should be stopped in time.
3. The allowable deviation of the test load and sliding speed of the testing machine is ±4%.
