Test Background
Geotextile is a new type of building material. The raw materials are synthetic fibers of polyester, acrylic, nylon and other high molecular polymers. According to the manufacturing method, it is divided into two types: woven geotextile and non-woven geotextile. Geotextiles often undergo wear and tear during actual construction and use.
The geotextile anti-wear test can use the abrasive cloth/slider method to determine the geotextile anti-wear performance. It is suitable for woven geotextiles, non-woven geotextiles and related products, but is not suitable for geomembranes and geogrids.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various geotextiles and provides professional anti-wear testing services for geotextiles and related products.
Scope of tests
1. Geotextiles can be mainly divided into woven geotextiles and non-woven geotextiles.
2. Geotextiles can also be divided into three series: needle-punched non-woven geotextiles, needle-punched non-woven fabrics and PE film composite geotextiles, and non-woven and woven composite geotextiles.
3. According to the different raw material fibers used, it can be divided into short fiber geotextiles, short fiber needle punched geotextiles, filament woven geotextiles, anti-seepage geotextiles, composite geotextiles, warp knitted composite geotextiles, polypropylene geotextiles, woven geotextiles, singed geotextiles, polyester filament geotextiles, etc.
Test method
The specimen is mounted on a fixed platform and rubbed with an abrasive with specified surface properties. Under the conditions of controlled pressure and friction action, the abrasive moves linearly along the horizontal axis.
The wear resistance is expressed as the percentage loss of tensile strength of the sample before and after friction.
