Test Background
Coated fabrics use solvents or water to dissolve the required coating particles (PU glue, A/C glue, PVC, PE glue) into a salivary shape, and then apply it evenly on the fabric (including cotton, polyester, nylon and other base materials) in a certain way (cylindrical screen, scraper or roller), and then fix it through the temperature in the oven to form a uniform layer of covering glue on the surface of the fabric.
The coated fabric water penetration resistance test determines the water penetration resistance of a coated fabric when hydrostatic pressure is applied to the coated fabric for a fixed period of time.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various coated fabrics and provides professional water penetration testing services for coated fabrics.
Scope of tests
PA coating, PU coating, anti-velvet coating, PA white glue coating, PU white glue coating, PA silver glue coating, PU silver glue coating, pearlescent coating, flame retardant coating, etc.
Test method
1. Under specified conditions, one side of the coated fabric sample to be tested is subjected to continuously rising water pressure until it reaches the specified water pressure value. Observe whether penetration occurs within the specified time or continue to pressurize until penetration occurs.
2. For the test with specified pressure value, if there are no water penetration points and no traces of wetting on the surface of the five samples, the sample passes the test, otherwise it fails.
