Test Background

As one of the passive safety features of automobiles, automobile safety glass plays a very important role in driver's driving safety. Optical performance is one of the main properties of automotive safety glass. The optical performance test of automobile safety glass mainly includes visible light transmittance test, secondary image deviation test, optical distortion test, visibility test after broken, color recognition test and visible light reflectance test.
Zhongke Inspection Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability performance testing of various automotive parts and provides professional optical performance testing services for automotive safety glass.

Scope of tests

There are three main types of common automotive glass on the market: tempered glass, laminated tempered glass and laminated area tempered glass.

Test method

1. Visible light transmittance test: Determine whether the safety glass has a certain visible light transmittance.
2. Secondary image deviation test: measure the angular deviation between the main image and the secondary image.
3. Light distortion test: measure the light distortion of safety glass.
4. Visibility test after breaking: Test the visibility after the safety glass is broken.
5. Color recognition test: Verify the color of objects seen through the safety glass of the front windshield.
6. Visible light reflectance test: Determine the visible light reflectance of safety glass under standard lighting conditions.
