Test Background
The rubber hose outer covering wear resistance test can be used to determine the wear resistance quality level of hydraulic hoses and other similar types of hoses with fabric or steel wire reinforcement layers and outer coverings with smooth and flat surfaces.

Scope of tests
In order to adapt to the physical and chemical conditions of operations in various industries, industrial hoses usually have very strict implementation standards in the chemical raw materials and processes of internal and external colloids.
Classified according to working conditions, common ones include: water hoses, hot water and steam hoses, beverage and food hoses, air hoses, welding hoses, ventilation hoses, material suction hoses, oil hoses, and chemical hoses.
Test method
1. Install the assembled specimen and mandrel on the testing device, and ensure that there is no axial movement and/or rotation of the specimen.
2. Place the abrasive tool in contact with the sample, apply the vertical static pressure F specified in the product standard, and start the machine. If force F is not specified in the product standard, the applied vertical static pressure shall be 50N ± 0.5N.
3. The test is carried out until the specified number of cycles is completed, and then the sample assembly is removed from the test device, and the sample with or without a mandrel is weighed again as in the initial weighing. It is important to remove any particles attached to the coating before weighing.
