Test Background
The rubber and plastic hose breathability test determines the volume of gas that passes through rubber or plastic hoses or non-reinforced hoses over a specified period of time.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various rubber and plastic hoses, and provides professional breathability testing services for rubber and plastic hoses.
Scope of tests
Rubber and plastic hoses are mainly divided according to their uses: threading hoses, drainage hoses, ventilation hoses, shower hoses, and wiring harness tubes.
Rubber and plastic hoses are mainly divided into corrugated hoses, rubber hoses and plastic hoses according to their materials.
Test method
Method 1: Determine the permeability of the entire hose except the end hose connectors or non-reinforced hose to the test gas. Permeability is calculated from the length of hose or unreinforced hose.
Method 2: Determine the air permeability of the hose/hose joint interface. This method is used when the outer covering of the hose is unpunched and gas usually seeps out from the cut end of the fabric reinforcement. Permeability is calculated from the length of the hose.
Method 3: Accurately determine the permeability of a hose or hose assembly to the test gas. Breathability is calculated from the surface area of the hose liner.
