Test Background
The service life test of static sealing rubber products can determine the service life of static sealing rubber products in contact with various media and air under compression (radial compression 12% ~ 25%, axial compression 15% ~ 40%). It is also suitable for predicting the storage period of rubber products in a free state.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various rubber products and provides professional service life testing services for static sealing rubber products.
Scope of tests
Static sealing rubber products mainly include O-rings, special-shaped rubber rings, and combined sealing washers.
Test method
1. The performance changes of static sealing rubber products under storage and use conditions are mainly due to the combined effects of heat, oxygen mechanical stress and contact with oil, water and other media.
2. Within a certain temperature range, the high-temperature accelerated aging of static sealing rubber products is the same as the aging mechanism under usage conditions. The relationship between the aging rate constant and temperature conforms to the Arrhenius equation.
3. Using the data obtained from the high-temperature accelerated aging test, the service life at the operating temperature can be extrapolated to calculate.
4. To predict the service life of static sealing rubber products, the test project should choose accumulated compression permanent deformation or compressive stress relaxation;
5. To predict the storage period of rubber products, the test item should be the elongation at break.
