Creep performance test of dipped cord

Creep performance test of dipped cord-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

As the main skeleton material of rubber tires and large rubber hoses, dipped cords are mainly made of high-performance fiber materials such as aramid, polyester, and nylon through a series of production processes. Due to the particularity of the material, the creep behavior of the dipped cords after being subjected to force and temperature affects the dimensional stability of the tire, which will seriously affect the out-of-roundness (unevenness) of the tire, leading to a rapid decline in the safety performance of the tire, endangering people's lives, and causing the tire to produce severe noise during use, seriously affecting the comfort of the tire. Therefore, the creep performance of the dipped cord has a great impact on the driving safety performance of the tire, the noise during use, and the safety performance of large rubber hoses.
The dipped cord creep performance test can determine the creep performance of the dipped cord. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various dipped cords and provides professional creep performance testing services for dipped cords.

Scope of tests

is suitable for testing the creep properties of dipped cords made of chemical fibers. It can also be used to test the creep properties of dipped yarns, dipped cords and other dipped skeleton materials made of chemical fibers.

Test method

1. The creep of the dipped cord refers to the process in which the length of the dipped cord sample gradually increases with time under the action of a certain temperature and constant tensile stress.
2. During the test, one end of the cord sample is fixed, and pre-tension is applied to the other end, and the length of the sample is measured; then a certain load is applied to the sample, and it is placed in a set temperature environment for a certain period of time, and then the length of the sample is measured again.
3. The ratio of the difference in length of the cord sample before and after creep to the length of the cord sample before creep is the creep rate of the dipped cord sample.
