Test Background
A low-pressure environment may cause equipment (products) to produce these physical and chemical effects: Gasket-sealed housings leak air and liquid; sealed containers are deformed, damaged or cracked; physical and chemical properties of low-density materials change; equipment overheats due to reduced heat conduction; lubricants evaporate; engine startup and operation are unstable; and vacuum seals fail.
The low-pressure test of military equipment can measure the adaptability of various military equipment to low-pressure environments and determine whether the equipment can withstand low-pressure environments under normal temperature conditions, whether it can work normally in low-pressure environments, and whether it can withstand rapid changes in air pressure.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of climatic environment testing and mechanical environment testing of various military equipment, and provides professional low-pressure testing services for military equipment.
Scope of tests
1. Equipment stored/working in high-altitude areas.
2. Equipment transported or worked in the pressurized or non-pressurized cabin of the aircraft.
3. Equipment exposed to rapid decompression or explosive decompression environments. Determine whether failure of equipment exposed to the environment could damage its platform or cause injury.
4. Equipment mounted outside the aircraft.
Test method
This test includes four low-pressure test procedures: Procedure I—storage/air transport, Procedure II—work/outboard flight, Procedure III—rapid decompression, and Procedure IV—explosion decompression.
Determine the test procedure or combination of test procedures according to the requirements of relevant documents.
