Adhesion strength test of dipped canvas

Adhesion strength test of dipped canvas-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

Bond strength refers to the ability of an adhesive to adhere to a surface and bond two surfaces together. The dipped canvas bonding strength test can determine the bonding strength performance of the dipped canvas and rubber after vulcanization. The dipped canvas bond strength test can be conducted for quality control purposes, but is more commonly conducted to comply with industry standards and customer specifications.
Even during an established coating application, many factors can affect the bond strength of a coating. Seemingly small changes in process parameters can have a significant impact on the final bond strength between coating and substrate.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various rubber-impregnated canvases, and provides professional bonding strength testing services for rubber-impregnated canvas.

Scope of tests

Cotton dipped canvas, linen dipped canvas, cotton dipped canvas, polyester dipped canvas, aramid dipped canvas, etc., used for rubber air beds, water beds, tightening cloth for yachts, and base fabric materials for the production of abrasive cloth and abrasive belts.

Test method

The dipped canvas and rubber are made into a sample mold in a certain order, and the sample is prepared after vulcanization. Use a tensile testing machine to peel off the sample canvas layer from the adjacent canvas layer at a constant speed, and measure the peak value of the peeling force during the peeling process. The ratio of this value to the width of the sample is the bonding strength of the impregnated canvas; the ratio of the minimum peeling force to the width of the sample is the minimum bonding strength of the sample.
Calculate the rubber coverage of the two peeling surfaces of the sample, and use the smaller value as the rubber coverage of the sample.
