Wear resistance test of furniture surface paint film

Wear resistance refers to the paint film's resistance to friction after drying, that is, the ability to maintain the performance of the paint film when encountering mechanical damage. The furniture surface paint film wear resistance test can determine the wear resistance of the paint film on the surface of wooden parts in furniture.

The paint film abrasion method is used to rate the degree of wear of the paint film after a certain number of grinding cycles.
1. Before the test, the sample should be pretreated for 24 hours in an environment with a temperature of (20±2)°C and a relative humidity of 60% to 70%.
2. Fix the test piece on the working plate of the abrasion meter, and add (1000±1) g weight and a rubber grinding wheel that meets the requirements on the surface of the test piece through the pressure arm.
3. During the test, the dust removal device should be turned on and the dust suction device should be ensured to work normally.
4. The test piece is initially ground for 50 r to make the surface of the paint film appear as a flat and uniform wear ring (if the wear is found to be uneven, the test piece should be replaced in time). Re-adjust the counter to the specified number of grinding revolutions until the end of the test, and observe the surface wear of the paint film.

Level 1: The paint film does not reveal white
Level 2: Part of the paint film is slightly exposed
Level 3: Part of the paint film is obviously white
Level 4: The paint film is severely exposed.
