Test Background
Air permeability refers to the ease with which the solid bulk material layer allows gas to pass through, and is also a measure of the porosity of the mixture. The measurement of air permeability of polymer porous elastic materials can provide a means for research on material structure and quality assurance.
The Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various polymer poroelastic materials and provides professional air permeability measurement services for polymer poroelastic materials.
Scope of tests
Polymer porous elastic material.
Test method
The air passes through the sample under excavation conditions, and the pressure difference between the two free end surfaces of the sample is measured.
1. Measure the sample size.
2. Measure the apparent density of the sample.
3. Test air permeability:
1) Place the sample into the test container and ensure that the edges are well sealed.
2) For the quality assurance test, any flow rate is selected within the specified flow range; for the structural characteristics test, five different flow rates are selected within the specified flow range.
3) After the flow rate is stable, press the start button, and the instrument will print out the thickness, flow rate, differential pressure, and air permeability.
4. The test conditions should be consistent with the sample parking conditions.
