Strength and deformation performance test of polymer porous elastic materials

Strength and deformation performance test of polymer porous elastic materials-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

Tensile strength refers to the maximum tensile stress exerted on a specimen until it breaks. Tensile elongation refers to the percentage elongation of the broken specimen. The strength and deformation properties test of polymer poroelastic materials is a method of measuring the strength and deformation properties of poroelastic materials by stretching the sample at a constant rate until it breaks.
The Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various polymer poroelastic materials, and provides professional strength and deformation performance testing services for polymer poroelastic materials.

Scope of tests

Polymer porous elastic material.

Test method

1. After adjusting according to regulations, measure the thickness of the material at five evenly distributed points on the cut test piece, or measure the thickness at two points on each sample cut piece. These dimensions should be measured according to regulations, and the difference between the dimensions should not be greater than ±2%.
2. Cut the test piece and mark the gauge distance with two marking lines. The marking card of the marking line should have two parallel boundary marking lines. The distance between the two marking lines is at least 25 mm and at most 50 mm. The measurement is accurate to ±1%.
3. Place the test piece in the holder of the testing machine and carefully adjust it to a symmetrical position so that the tension is evenly distributed on the cross-section of the sample.
Turn on the machine and record the maximum force when the test piece breaks (accurate to ±1%) and the distance between the inside of the two marking lines (accurate to ±1.25 mm). Remove the broken test piece outside the marking line and continue testing until five satisfactory results are obtained. Sufficient material should be provided to ensure that this repeated test is performed.
This test should be carried out under the same temperature and humidity conditions as the test material.
