Tear resistance test of polymer porous elastic materials

Tear resistance test of polymer porous elastic materials-Physical Performance Testing-

Test Background

The purpose of the tear resistance test of polymer porous elastic materials is to determine the tear resistance of polymer porous elastic materials with a thickness of not less than 24 mm.
The Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various polymer poroelastic materials and provides professional tear resistance testing services for polymer poroelastic materials.

Scope of tests

Polymer porous elastic material with a thickness of not less than 24 mm.

Test method

1. Carefully unfold the test piece, place it on the fixture of the testing machine, adjust it to the appropriate position, and apply force to the test piece in the specified direction.
2. The moving speed of the clamp is 50 mm/min~500 nm/min.
3. During the tearing process, if it is necessary to keep the incision of the sample in the center, a sharp tool can be used for auxiliary cutting, such as a single-sided razor.
4. When the sample is torn to 25 mm ± 5 mm, record the maximum force value on the display or dial. If the sample is damaged before it is torn 30 mm, the sample should be resampled for testing.
