Single yarn breaking strength detection

Single yarn breaking strength detection-Physical Performance Testing-

Detection background

The breaking strength of a single yarn refers to the maximum force exerted on the sample when it is stretched to break in the yarn tensile test; the breaking elongation of a single yarn refers to the increase in the length of the sample under the action of the breaking strength. The breaking strength test of a single yarn is applicable to all yarns except glass yarn, high elastic yarn, high molecular weight polyethylene yarn (HMPE), ultra high molecular weight polyethylene yarn (UHMPE), ceramic yarn, carbon fiber yarn and polyethylene warp and flat yarn.
Zhongke Testing Environmental Reliability Experiment Center has the ability to test the reliability performance of various textile raw materials and products, and provides professional single yarn break strength testing services for textiles.

TEST PRINCIPLE

Use a constant velocity elongation (CRE) tester to stretch the specimen until it breaks, and record the breaking strength and breaking elongation values. The specimen is stretched at a constant rate of 100% (relative to the initial length of the specimen) per minute.
Depending on the protocol, the tester allows higher or lower tensile speeds. Two gauge lengths are allowed, typically 500 mn (stretch speed 500 mm/min).
