Test Background
Coated fabric softness test refers to the method of rubber or plastic coating fabric softness, which is an important indicator of product quality.
Zhongke Testing Environmental Reliability Experiment Center has the capabilities of environmental testing and reliability performance testing of various rubber or plastic coated fabric materials and products, and provides professional softness testing services for coated fabrics.
Scope of tests
a) Coated fabric delivered directly for use;
b) Coated fabrics treated according to certain regulations.
The softness test of coated fabrics is not applicable to coated fabrics that tend to curl or twist when cut into specimens, nor to coated fabrics that are too hard to bend.
Test Principle
The loop formed by overlapping the two ends of the rectangular coated fabric is placed on a horizontal plate, and a steel rod is used to hold down the overlapping ends.
After parking for a certain period of time, use a scale to measure the maximum height of both sides of the ring relative to the flat plate. The softness of a coated fabric is characterized by the height of the ring, which is an inverse measurement, i.e. the lower the height of the ring, the greater the softness.
