Vibration test of ground radio navigation equipment

Vibration test of ground radio navigation equipment-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

Vibration test refers to a test conducted on a vibrated object or model to evaluate the vibration resistance of a product in the expected use environment. According to the type of vibration load applied, the vibration test is divided into two types: sinusoidal vibration test and random vibration test.
The vibration test of ground radio navigation equipment can determine whether it will be damaged during the vibration process, analyze its damage points and defective points, and use the vibration test results to discover product deficiencies early and make improvements before they are put on the market to reduce product failure rates.
Zhongke Testing and Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing capabilities for various navigation equipment and provides professional vibration environment testing services for ground radio navigation equipment.

Scope of tests

Ground radio navigation equipment is an integral part of the radio navigation system.
Ground equipment can be divided into three parts: heading beacon, glide beacon, pointing beacon or range finder. When the rangefinder is part of an instrument landing system, it is usually mounted on the glide beacon.

Test method

1. The status of the test sample during the test process is specified by the product standard.
2. Unless otherwise specified in product standards, during transportation and use, when the installation method of the test sample is known and the maximum energy of vibration is along the vertical direction, vibration is allowed along the axis in that direction. If there are multiple installation methods or the direction of vibration is unknown, vibration should be carried out in three axes.
3. If the product standard requires vibration response inspection, it shall be completed with one frequency sweep cycle under the same conditions as the vibration resistance test of the test sample.
4. If product standards require fixed-frequency vibration resistance tests at dangerous points, the test time at the main dangerous frequencies on each axis is recommended to be 30 minutes.
5. If the product standard stipulates an additional vibration response check before the end of the test, the two response checks before and after the test should be carried out under the same conditions.
6. Conduct frequency sweep stability test according to the frequency range specified by product standards. The frequency range can be divided into several segments if necessary, but the vibration stress specified in the test sample cannot be reduced.
