Uniaxial tensile creep test of metallic materials

Uniaxial tensile creep test of metallic materials-Mechanical Testing-

Test Background

The application of metal materials in daily life and their irreplaceable characteristics. Therefore, many friends in the metal materials industry will conduct uniaxial tensile creep tests when producing metal materials products to test the performance of the materials.
The uniaxial tensile creep test of metallic materials is a continuous and discontinuous uniaxial tensile creep test method used to determine the properties of metallic materials, especially creep elongation and creep rupture time at specified temperatures.
The Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability to test the reliability performance of various metal materials and provides professional uniaxial tensile creep test services for metal materials.

Scope of tests

Metal materials are divided into ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals. The ferrous metals include iron, copper, manganese and steel. Non-ferrous metals include tin alloys, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, copper alloys, aluminum alloys and zinc alloys.

Test method

Heat the sample to the specified temperature, apply a constant tensile force or constant tensile stress (see note) along the axis of the sample, and maintain it for a certain period of time to obtain the following results:
1) Specified creep elongation (continuous test);
2) Obtain residual plastic elongation values at appropriate intervals through testing (discontinuous testing);
3) Creep rupture time (continuous or discontinuous test).
