Low temperature folding resistance test of coated fabrics

Fabric coating refers to evenly coating a layer of polymer that can form a film on the surface of the fabric, that is, evenly coating a layer of film on the surface of the original fabric (woven fabric, knitted fabric, non-woven fabric), thereby changing the appearance and style of the original fabric, making it have new properties and functions, such as rainproof, windproof, coldproof, antifouling, fireproof, radiation protection, heat resistance, chemical resistance, sterilization and anti-inflammation, etc., thus greatly increasing the added value of the fabric.
The low-temperature folding resistance test of coated fabrics can measure the low-temperature folding resistance of coated fabrics under low temperature conditions, and is suitable for coated fabrics with a thickness of no more than 3 mm.

Fold one end of the sample with the coating facing inward and clamp it in the movable upper clamp, then fold the sample outward and turn the other end downward, with the coating facing outward, and clamp the downward end in the fixed lower clamp. In the specified low temperature environment, the upper clamp drives the sample to move for the specified number of flexions and then inspect the surface of the sample for damage.
Damage includes the following types: cracks on the coating surface; fabric veil threads break and crack; blistering between the coating and the fabric; delamination between the coating and the fabric; peeling off of the coating; and other obvious damage.
