Test Background
Polymer waterproof membrane is now a popular material in building waterproofing. This waterproof material performs well. It not only has good waterproofing effect, but also has good homogeneity, high tensile strength, and strong corrosion resistance. It has very good advantages. Shear performance refers to the maximum tensile force of stretching the prepared lap joint specimen in the shear direction until the specimen is damaged or separated. The shear properties between plastic and rubber lap widths vary depending on the material, lap method, overlap size and operating technique.
The polymer waterproof membrane seam shear test can measure the seam shear performance of the polymer waterproof membrane. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various building waterproofing membranes, and provides professional joint shear testing services for polymer waterproofing membranes.
Scope of tests
There are many types of polymer waterproof membranes, such as self-adhesive red core polymer modified asphalt waterproof membrane, self-adhesive strong cross-membrane polymer waterproof membrane, polyvinyl chloride PVC polymer waterproof membrane, thermoplastic polyolefin TPO polymer waterproof membrane, polyethylene polyester polypropylene polymer waterproof membrane, chlorinated polyethylene CPE polymer waterproof membrane, HDPE non-asphalt-based self-adhesive film polymer waterproof membrane.
Test method
test is to stretch the overlap joint of the specimen at a constant speed in the shear direction until the specimen is damaged or separated, and continuously record the tensile force of the entire test.
