Test Background
Salt spray test is an environmental test that mainly uses artificial simulated salt spray environment conditions created by salt spray testing equipment to evaluate the corrosion resistance of products or metal materials. The salt spray test of digital communication equipment can determine the ability of digital communication equipment to resist the influence of salt spray atmosphere.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the reliable performance of various digital communication equipment and provides professional salt spray test services for digital communication equipment.
Scope of tests
1. Divided according to business type: telegraph, telephone, video conference, fax, data communication, etc.
2. According to the transmission medium, it is divided into: wireless communication and wired communication
3. According to signal type, it is divided into: analog communication and digital communication
4. According to the signal multiplexing method, it is divided into: frequency division multiplexing, time division multiplexing and code division multiplexing
5. According to whether the communicator is moving, it is divided into: fixed communication and mobile communication
Test method
1. The test time for the test sample to withstand continuous spray is 48 hours or as specified in the product standard (or technical document), but it is at least 48 hours.
2. Trial run
without load
Before the test, the test box (room) needs to undergo a no-load test run with continuous spraying time of 16 to 24 hours. Only when it is determined that stable test conditions can be maintained, the test samples can be put into the test. Test chambers (rooms) that have been used within 5 days can be exempted from no-load test operation.
3. Determine the sedimentation rate and pH value of the salt solution. Generally, at least two collectors should be used, one placed close to any nozzle, and the other placed away from all nozzles. The position of the collector should not be covered by the test sample, and the collected liquid on the sample and other objects should not drip into the collector. The settlement rate should meet the specified requirements, otherwise it needs to be adjusted before testing. All collected solutions can be combined and the sodium chloride content and pH value measured at 35°C.
4. Continuous spraying time shall be carried out according to regulations. During the continuous spray time, the salt spray sedimentation rate and pH value should be tested once every 24 hours (or 12 hours). If the sedimentation rate does not meet the requirements, the test during this period must be processed according to relevant requirements.
