Test Background
The watch light test can determine the adaptability of watch appearance parts to the wearing environment. The xenon arc lamp method is suitable for simulating tests under sunlight exposure. In the absence of argon arc lamp test equipment, a simple ultraviolet lamp method can be used.

Scope of tests
is suitable for light testing of watch glass, as well as watch cases, dials, back covers, straps, buckles and other watch appearance parts made of metals and alloys, cermets, plastics, rubber, leather and other materials.
Test method
1. The sample size of each tested appearance part should not be less than 3. Part of the surface of the sample should be covered with a mask to allow comparative observation of the impact of the lighting test on its surface color and appearance quality. The covering is an opaque material that is stable to light, such as thin aluminum sheets or aluminum foil, etc., used to cover the specimen.
2. Xenon arc lamp method: Under xenon arc lamp irradiation, by observing the changes in surface color and appearance quality of the sample within a specified period of time, the light resistance of the watch's appearance parts under light radiation can be determined.
3. Ultraviolet lamp method: Under ultraviolet lamp irradiation, by observing the changes in surface color and appearance quality of the sample within a specified period of time, the light resistance of the watch's appearance parts under ultraviolet radiation can be determined.
