Mildew resistance test of building wood-plastic composite materials

Mildew resistance test of building wood-plastic composite materials-Reliability Testing-

Test Background

Wood-plastic composite materials are a new type of composite material that has flourished at home and abroad in recent years. It refers to the use of polyethylene, polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride, etc., instead of ordinary resin adhesives, and more than 50% of waste plant fibers such as wood powder, rice husk, straw, etc. to form new wood materials, and then through extrusion, molding, injection molding and other plastic processing techniques to produce boards or profiles. It is mainly used in building materials, furniture, logistics packaging and other industries.
Anti-mildew performance refers to the product’s ability to inhibit the germination of mold spores and the growth and reproduction of mycelium. Anti-mildew durability refers to the anti-mildew performance of a product after undergoing artificial climate aging tests. The mildew-proof test of building wood-plastic composite materials can determine the mildew-proof performance and mildew-proof durability performance of building wood-plastic composite materials.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the reliable performance of various construction wood-plastic composite materials and provides professional mildew-proof testing services for construction wood-plastic composite materials.

Scope of tests

Wood-plastic composite materials are widely used, including door and window products, thermal insulation systems, park benches, solar screens for flower sheds and tower buildings, etc. The raw materials include wood powder and other cellulose agricultural and sideline products.

Test method

1. Conduct an accelerated test designed according to the physiological characteristics of mold growth, and inoculate a large number of mold spores on the surface of the sample.
2. Then place the sample for culture at a temperature of 28 ℃ ~ 30 ℃ and a relative humidity of ≥ 85%. Observe the growth of mold on the surface of the sample. Test the product's ability to inhibit mold growth based on the mold growing area on the surface of the sample.
