Test Background
Outdoor wood coating is mainly used for surface coating of outdoor wooden structures. It can achieve multi-dimensional, multi-angle, multi-level anti-corrosion, waterproof, moisture-proof, moth-proof, crack-proof and deformation-resistant surface coating treatments for wood. If the painted surface ages, it will have a negative impact on the wood.
The artificial aging test of the outdoor wood coating surface can use equipment including fluorescent ultraviolet lamps, condensation and spray to test the artificial aging performance of the outdoor wood coating surface.
Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has the capability of reliability testing of various painted surfaces, and provides professional artificial aging test services for outdoor wood painted surfaces.
Scope of tests
Wood can be divided into:
according to how it is used
1) Wood restructured materials such as plywood, particleboard, fiberboard, laminated veneer lumber, laminated lumber, restructured wood, oriented strand board, restructured decorative veneer
2) Wood-based composite materials such as gypsum particleboard, cement particleboard, wood/plastic composite materials, wood/metal composite materials, wood conductive materials and wood ceramics.
Test method
1. Use devices containing fluorescent ultraviolet lamps, condensation and water spray to perform artificial aging on the outdoor wood coating surface, exposing the coating surface to a certain radiation exposure energy or exposure time, or causing one or more properties of the coating surface to change to a certain extent.
2. After the exposure cycle, remove the sample from the sample rack, evaluate the blistering within 1 hour in accordance with GB/T 33568-2017, and then place the sample at a temperature of (20±2)°C and a relative humidity of (65±5)% for 7 days.
3. Evaluate the paint film adhesion of the sample in accordance with GB/T4893.4-2013, and evaluate the discoloration, loss of gloss, peeling, cracking, powdering and other indicators of the sample in accordance with GB/T 33568-2017.
