Test Background
Civilian light and small UAVs refer to UAV systems (including aircraft and ground stations) with a take-off weight between 0.25kg and 150kg. The waterproof test of light and small UAVs can measure the ability of the specified waterproof compartment or waterproof part of the aircraft to completely prevent the entry of water or cleaning fluid, that is, the waterproof performance.

Scope of tests
is suitable for civilian light and small unmanned aerial vehicle systems that may be sprayed by rain during use to determine whether the civilian light and small unmanned aerial vehicle system can withstand the impact of rain sprayed or dripped on its surface.
Test method
1) Place the equipment under test directly below the waterproof test device. The distance between the test surface and the nozzle should be ≥ 500 mm. There should be at least one nozzle within every 0.56 m3 of the cross-section of the equipment under test, and the spraying of the equipment under test by two adjacent nozzles should reach the overlap of the spray net to ensure that every part of the equipment under test is within the coverage of the spray.
2) Test the equipment under test according to the specified test conditions, and adjust the nozzle pressure so that the water spray volume is >140 L/(m2·h) or 280 L/(m2·h). The test time is up to the specified time. Before the end of the test, function/performance testing of the equipment under test shall be carried out in accordance with relevant technical documents and the test results shall be recorded. When necessary, use the spray nozzle to spray the test surface of the equipment under test at a certain angle. The angle should be specified in the relevant technical documents.
3) If the equipment under test has multiple test surfaces, the equipment under test should be rotated or the sprinkler nozzle should be rotated so that the test surface faces the rain spray direction, and test step 2) is repeated until the assessment of all test surfaces is completed.
