Test Background
Composite solid propellant is a type of propellant composed of a mixture of polymer binder, solid powder oxidizer, powdered metal fuel and other additional components. Zhongke Testing Reliability Experiment Center has environmental testing qualifications and capabilities, and provides professional high-temperature accelerated aging testing services for composite solid propellants.
Scope of tests
is suitable for high-temperature accelerated aging tests and corresponding storage life predictions of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene, carboxyl-terminated polybutadiene, carboxyl-terminated polybutadiene acrylonitrile, polyether polyurethane medium-energy solid propellants and high-energy solid propellants such as N-15.
Test method
The propellant sample blanks are used for aging tests to obtain the results of propellant performance changes with time at different temperatures, determine the mathematical model of the relationship between performance and time, obtain the performance change rate constant at each temperature, and extrapolate based on the relationship between the rate constant and temperature to obtain the rate constant at room temperature, thereby estimating the storage life of the propellant.
